Dr Paul Lambrakis is a thoughtful, enthusiastic and diligent Specialist General Surgeon who provides a personalised, patient-focused consultation. He is empathetic and understanding in providing health care.
He is known for his contemporary and exceptional surgical skills and excellent communication with patients. He provides a full range of specialist general surgical procedures via private patient consultation in Liverpool and operates at Sydney South West Private Hospital.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and a member of General Surgeons Australia.

About me:
I have been working as a doctor for 20 years and developed excellent clinical skills and surgical expertise throughout this time. I recognised a passion for and aptitude towards a career in surgery early in my medical school years and was fortunate to be able to explore and develop this passion throughout medical school. My formal surgical training was through the Western Sydney Network of surgical teaching hospitals and provided me with a huge exposure to surgical care in metropolitan hospitals across Sydney and Canberra and a large number of rural centers. I obtained my formal surgical fellowship qualifications through the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons specialising in General Surgery. I have post fellowship training in Acute General Surgery and Endocrine Surgery and extensive experience in Trauma, Upper and Lower Gastrointestinal Surgery.
I have strong interpersonal skills and I am considered by my peers and trainees to be an excellent communicator and teacher. I am committed to ongoing surgical education and training and have a Conjoint Lecturer appointment at the University of New South Wales.
I have a special interest in the management of surgical emergencies and my dedication to this field has allowed me to develop exceptional skills in the operative management of complex abdominal cases and master advanced laparoscopic skills. This experience has also created the foundations of my specialisation in Acute Care Surgery and Trauma. I am currently the Deputy Director of the Acute Care Surgical Unit at Liverpool Hospital and pride myself on providing seamless and streamlined care to all my patients in both private and public sectors.
